Lasagna Toss

    Ingredients


    1 lb. (340 g) lean ground beef
    2 green peppers, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 jar (700 mL) pasta sauce
    1-2/3 cups water
    1/4 cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing
    12 oven-ready Lasagna noodles (220 g), broken into quarters
    1 cup. Shredded Cheese

    Directions

    Brown meat in large saucepan; drain.
    Add peppers, garlic, pasta sauce, water and dressing; bring to boil. Stir in noodles; cover.
    Cook on medium-low heat 10 to 15 min. or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Let stand 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

    I was going to make lasagna, then realized I only have 5 noodles left and DF wont' answer his phone and that's where he's headed right now and I thought of this but it still requires 12 noodles [​IMG]

    You could always substitute with other pasta noodles instead.

    Its a very nice recipe.I like very much Lasagna Toss.It's easy and really does hit all the same flavour notes as lasagna.You can't fake a true long cooking lasagna.It's a labor of love.
