There is a long running story of "bunny" between the hubs and I. Quick version, we went to see that movie Hop when it came out and on the way home I accidently ran over a bunny. (I felt horrible, I cried. lol) So he calls me bunny and cracks jokes at me all the time. Even bought me a cute lil stuffed bunny! [IMG]

So I had to of course put the bunny on the ticker! [IMG] And then the beach scene, because I live on a Caribbean island! lol

I'm ready for this pregnancy to start rolling along! Seems like time is standing still since we found out a few days ago!

LOL! I'm a bit of a bunny freak and a pink freak so everyone always calls me Bunny or Pinky.

My first ultrasound is scheduled for the 21st. I'll only be 5w3d so will likely only be able to see the sac. I wish it was one week later so we could for sure see the heartbeat.

No idea. My first ultrasound is the 21st, but I'll only be 5w3d so we won't be able to see much but the gestational sac. With my past history I'm so beyond paranoid that I'm going to miscarry again even though everything is going along great with this pregnancy.

I hit 5 weeks today and won't have an appointment until the beginning of January, due to living in a 3rd world country! Ugh.. I have to wait until my trip back to the states. I'll update when I have something to update. Praying for only one baby and no twins, tho they run heavily in the family. :-/

Mrs G, I live in the US and the doctor wouldn't see me before ~10 weeks. They normally won't see you sooner unless there is a problem.

I get seen very early on because I'm high risk for multiple reasons. Blood clotting disorder, multiple miscarriages, preterm labor and delivery. I am seen in perinatology which is a high-risk specialist instead of regular OB. I get a lot of extra ultrasounds and tests done that I wouldn't if I was a normal low-risk pregnancy.

I'm from the US, just out of the country for my husbands schooling. The doctor said he would like to see me earlier if possible, but time doesn't allow as we are going on a cruise. I just want to be sure all is well. My FIL is a doctor, and so my doctor is his good friend which means whenever I feel it to be seen I will be, even if there is no real "reason". I'm sort of spoiled in that aspect I guess, but I'm okay with that!

The thing I'm worried about is seeking prenatal care in a 3rd world country. So I might be making multiple trips to the states for all appointments. It would make sense to just move back, but I want to stay here with my husband as long as possible and we have the means to pay the airlines fee's, so we will do that unless the doctor says no.

I'm new to this whole thing (Pregnancy) so I just want to be extra certain about things.

    Bunny,
I have no idea what those mean, care to educate me? I am curious. And what is the significance of it?

They are blood hCG levels. At this stage of pregnancy the numbers are supposed to double every 48-72 hours. So far mine have been doubling in 24 hours or less, which is really good. With my son my levels were much lower and doubled much more slowly than this pregnancy has been. My levels today at 4 weeks are nearly as high as they were with him at 5 weeks.
